Alivamax hCG Diet - Phase 5 - Maintenance (Rest of your life!)
After a full 3 weeks of Phase 4, you now begin Phase 5 which is the maintenance phase. During this phase you will carefully add sugars and starches, remember, you must always stay within the 2 lb limit of the last day of Phase 2 of the diet. When adding carbs into your diet, you may have to reduce your fat and protein intake to maintain your weight.
The body's fat regulation system is now adjusted. Slowly increase healthy carbohydrates and caloric intake, while stabilizing your new weight.
Phase 5 is for the rest of your life (unless you are doing more than one course of the protocol). This phase is basically Phase 4, expanded by carefully adding back healthy carbs one at a time until you learn your body's limits to maintain your new weight. Everybody has an upper limit of carbs. You will need to find yours. So monitor your weight as you add back complex healthy carbs. Add them one at a time, and let 2 days pass to ensure you don't gain. Note the carb level, and eventually you'll get the top limit. This upper limit is different for everyone.
Remember
Any day that your morning weight is 2.1 lbs over your last hCG date weight (the last day you took hCG), you do a Steak Day. A Steak Day is where you eat nothing all day (but drink plenty of water, coffee, and/or tea). Then, for your evening meal, you eat a huge steak (8-14 oz) followed by an apple or a raw tomato. This should put you back down 2-5 lbs and get you back in your "range".
